hm_attributelist

Returns a list of all attribute IDs or names assigned to a specific entity for the current template.

Syntax

hm_attributelist entity_type entity_name_or_id value ?search_type?

Returns a list of all attribute IDs or names assigned to a specific entity for the current template.

entity_type: The type of entity to query.
entity_name_or_id: The name or ID of the entity.
value: The type of list to return. Valid values are:; id - the attribute IDs; name - the attribute names
search_type: By default, HyperMesh searches for entities by name, and if the name is not found, it then searches by ID. This option allows you to specify how the search for an entity should be conducted. Valid values are:; -byname - Search only by name.; -byid - Search only by ID.

To list the attribute IDs for the current template assigned to mat ID 6:

hm_attributelist mats 6 id

To list the attribute names for the current template assigned to mat name 6:

hm_attributelist mats 6 name -byname

Incorrect usage results in a Tcl error. To detect errors, you can use the catch command:

if { [ catch {command_name...} ] } {
   # Handle error
}
