Generates one design variable per grid.
NO
Generates two design variables per element (CBEAM elements for DLATTICE). This allows for more design freedom when compared to having a single design variable per grid. In this method, elements coming together at a grid point may have different radii.

  1. This parameter is only applicable to Lattice Structure Optimization. It is only valid for DLATTICE implementation.
