Comments

  1. This material provides elasto-plastic material data that can be used early in a design when material data might not be available. The data is from the results of several publicly funded projects. The material model defines stress as a function of strain. No strain rate or temperature effects are included. Failure can be modeled by using the same predefined materials in /FAIL/BIQUAD.
  2. The material data is automatically converted into the model’s unit system defined in /BEGIN.
  3. This material uses /MAT/LAW2 (PLAS_JOHNS), Iflag=1 with these predefined values in the units, kg, mm, and ms.
