Volumetric Heat
Specify internal heat generation (heat sources) and internal heat absorption (heat sinks) in a given part volume.
A positive volume heat value indicates a heat source, and a negative volume heat value indicates a heat sink. Volumetric heat is given as Watts per unit of volume. For example: W/m3.
- On the Project Tree, open the Analysis Workbench.
-
Next to the Thermal analysis branch, click Expand
.
- Next to Thermal conditions, click .
-
In the modeling window, select
one or more faces.
The faces are listed in the Volume heat dialog.
- For Volume heat, specify a value and unit.
- Click OK.
