Remote Load
Apply distributed loads (tractions) to faces and/or spots that are statistically equivalent to a load applied on a single point.
- On the Project Tree, open the Analysis Workbench.
- Click on the desired Analysis branch.
-
Next to Constraints, click the
(Add) button.
-
Choose
(Remote load) from the list of loads.
- Choose the button to apply to either Faces or Spots.
-
In the modeling window, select the desired
faces/spots.
The Remote point coordinates autofill to match face/spot selection, but they can be adjusted in the dialog.
- Specify the Force and/or Moment directional components in the X, Y, and Z coordinate fields.
-
For Non-linear structural analysis, specify either a follower force or a fixed
direction force.
- Select the Follower load check box to specify a follower load.
- Clear the check box to specify a fixed direction load.
- Click OK.
