  1. For truss elements, if ν 0 the cross section variation is computed as:(1)

    Where, υ is the Poisson's ratio given in the material law.

  2. The truss is activated only if:(2)

    The current distance between truss nodes is smaller than the initial length minus Gapini.

  3. Gapini should be Gapini > 0. Negative Gapini. will be treated as 0. The truss will not be activated in tensile.
