Radioss Panel

Use the Radioss panel to execute a Radioss run on your desktop from HyperMesh.

Note: Available in the Radioss solver interface.

Panel Options

input file: Navigate to the desired input file.
export options Select an export option before you execute a Radioss run.
all
Export everything to the input file.
displayed
Export only what is displayed to the input file.
custom
Export what is selected in the Entity State Browser.
run options Select a run option before you execute an Radioss run.
none
Solve the model as is.
analysis
Start an analysis regardless of what is specified in the model.
check
Start a check run regardless of what is specified in the model.
memory options Specify the memory limit, and decide whether or not to run an in-core or out-of-core solution depends.

The memory default can be changed using the system setting (SYSSETTING) option OS_RAM. You can assign a different memory limit for an individual run by entering a value for memory in upper limit in Mb= or by defining the -len option in the run script.

include connectors Include predefined connectors in the output file.
options: Specify any additional options to write to the solver.

Command Buttons

The screen output is automatically set to SCREEN, OUT. This displays the Radioss output to the DOS and UNIX window, respectively.
Button Action
Save as Choose the run location and provide the filename for the OptiStruct input file.
Radioss Automatically perform the following procedures:
  • Export an OptiStruct input file (using the location and filename as defined in the input file: field) for the model according to the selected export option (all, displayed, or custom)
  • Execute the solver with the specified run option (none, analysis or check) and memory option (default or user-defined upper bound).
  • Load the resulting .res file for post-processing in HyperWorks.
HyperView Launch a new session of HyperView and load the resulting .mvw file from the OptiStruct run. (Specifically this loads the .mvw file corresponding to the file name in the input file: field.)
view .out View the .out file after a run has been submitted.
