Compare Basic HyperCrash Input and Output

Use the HC Basic IO tab to compare basic HyperCrash input and output

  1. Click the FE Model tab then click the UI Basic IO tab.

  2. From the File type drop-down menu, select a solver type.
  3. Select the HyperWorks version umber.
  4. Select a unit system.
  5. Select a radio button option.
    Option Description
    Model checker Select this option to execute the default model checker.
    Custom Check Select this option to execute the custom model checker.
    Penetration Check Select the input file(s) and reference penetration text file(s).

    Penetration checks are performed in HyperCrash and generate penetration text reports.

    Compare the generated penetration text with the reference text and generate a Diff report.

  6. Input deck(s).
    Tip:
    • Click to search for and load additional input files. Select the top level folder to load all files of selected file type.
    • Click in the cell for each file type to activate it. Once the cell is active, click to display the file browser and load only selected files. You can also add multiple files.
    • Click to delete a selected file from the list.
    • Click to add a row to the table.
  7. If you choose Custom Check, select a custom check file.
  8. Select an output directory.
  9. Click Import/Export.
    Under the Step section, the following data is displayed for the Reference Model file:
    • Time to Import-Export
    • Import-Export Status (Pass/Fail)
    • Import-Export Results (Pass/Fail)

    To see the difference between the reference file (the input deck) and the HyperCrash exported file, click Status under Import-Export to display the report.

  10. Click Check Run to perform a solver check run using the reference file and the modified model file (the HyperCrash exported file).
    Under Check run, click Diff to display the solver results diff report. Here, the solver is accessed based on the availability of a license (which must be user-arranged).
Tip:
  • The message log file displays the current status of processes in progress. Click Status/Diff to display the respective report. The message log file is a text file and is saved to your output directory.
  • Click Html Report to generate an HTML report of your session information for any number of files run through the process.

Import and Export a File with the Model Checker/Custom Check Activated

  1. From the File type drop-down menu, select the correct solver for running HyperCrash in the background.
  2. Optional: Activate the Model checker/Custom Check option.
  3. Use the file browser icon to select input files.
  4. Select an output directory.
  5. Click Import/Export.
    Steps 1 and 2 are performed.

    The modified model file is re-imported into HyperCrash and returns the I/O status.

    The Model checker/Custom Check output from Steps 1 and 2 are "diffed" (a diff report is generated).
