Rapidly change the shape of the FE mesh without severely sacrificing the mesh quality and create, edit, and apply
shapes for subsequent design optimization studies.
Create weld points at a predefined pitch distance so that the model build process can continue without the need to
wait for the published weld data from CAD. Autopitch is useful when working with elements, not geometry.
The Design Space environment is dedicated to topology optimization model build and setup. It facilitates rapid model creation by generating
the voxel design space for a number of different use cases.
Many essential utility tools using HyperWorks-Tcl have been developed over the years to support Aerospace customers. A few tools have been collected and upgraded to
be compatible with this release.
After you have created and defined attachments, you can create connectors from a
tolerance search.
You can select the attachments manually or automatically and define their tolerance.
Select the desired FE type and whether you would like the connectors realized. The
tolerance search will look normal to the hole (within 100) of the created attachment
to find other attachments.
In the Connector Browser, right-click and select Create > Subsystem > From Attachments.
The Create Subsystem Connectors dialog opens.
In the Selection field, choose either Manual or
Automatic from the drop-down list.
In the Location entity field, use the Attachments
selector to select the appropriate attachments.
For Tolerance, type an appropriate value.
In the FE Type field, select from:
bolt (general)
bolt (CBAR)
rigid patch
To realize the results, activate the Realize
checkbox.
