hwIDataFile GetChannelMetaDataList

Gets a list of meta data items associated with a file channel.

Description

This command returns a list of the metadata items associated with a specific channel of a data file. The channel is identified by the datatype, request, and component parameters. These strings are specific to the particular file.

The returned list will contain the varnames (unique identifier strings) of the items (if any).

Error

If the item of metadata is not present in the file, an empty string will be returned.
