Apply Solution Settings

Apply solution settings globally or to selected parts/groups.

Global default solution settings are applied automatically when the project is opened. No user action is required. The default adaption objective is Adapt for stiffness. It performs 3 solution passes. This is typically adequate to calculate the overall load path.

  1. Change global solution settings.
    1. On the icon palette, click Settings.
    2. Click on the Solution (default) tab.
    3. Select an Objective from the drop-down menu.
  2. Apply local solution settings.
    1. In the Project Tree, select the Analysis Workbench.
    2. Click on the (Action menu) button and select Solution settings from the menu.

The new group appears in the dialog. When a group name is selected on the dialog the parts that belong to that group are highlighted in the modeling window. This makes it easy to browse through all individual local setting definitions.
    5. Edit solution settings for the new group.
Tip: To move a part to a different group, use the Move to action menu option. To remove a part group, select the group entry on the dialog and then pick the Delete action menu option.
  3. Click OK.
