Rapidly change the shape of the FE mesh without severely sacrificing the mesh quality and create, edit, and apply
shapes for subsequent design optimization studies.
The Design Space environment is dedicated to topology optimization model build and setup. It facilitates rapid model creation by generating
the voxel design space for a number of different use cases.
Many essential utility tools using HyperWorks-Tcl have been developed over the years to support Aerospace customers. A few tools have been collected and upgraded to
be compatible with this release.
Open animation files, measure various distances and angles between entities, and use the Results Browser to view the model structure and find, display, and edit entities.
Create and edit user-defined data type expressions, derived load cases, and systems. You can also plot a forming limit
diagram, generate streamlines, track entities during animation, and create and import/export sets of entities.
Query entities, create or edit free body diagrams, construct multiple curves and plots from a single result file, and
create and plot stress linearization.
The Mask panel allows you to mask elements, components, and systems to reduce the number of entities displayed on the
screen. With fewer entities displayed on the screen, it is easier to pick the necessary elements or visualize important
areas of a model.
The Apply Style options dialog allows you to select and apply display attributes of the active model in the current window
to all models available in the current window, the current page, all pages, or selected HyperView windows in the session.
The Extract Solver Deck Assemblies tool allows you to import a HyperMesh exported input deck and extract the HyperMesh commands HMNAME, HMCOLOR, and HMASSEM.
The Generate PSM for MADYMO function allows you to save analysis results of nodes as a PSM (Prescribed Structural Motion)
file. Displacement results from any animation can be exported as a PSM file.
The RAD2NOISE dialog in the utilities page allows you to create an input file based on your inputs. This input file can
be used to run the RAD2NOISE solver in batch mode.
Use the Systems Review dialog to review the orientations of various element systems
(1D, 2D, or 3D), as well as material and ply systems.
Reviewing these systems enables you to assess the integrity of
model and understand the results in significance to the system of interest. Element systems
can be reviewed to check normal orientations, proper connectivity, or the beam orientations.
While most of these checks are performed in the pre-processing stage, this tool acts like a
verification aide in post-processing. The system plots can be overlaid with Vector and Tensor
plots to confirm that the results and their orientations are accurate. Various display options
are available which allow you to customize the appearance of the system plot.
From the Tools menu,
select Systems Review.
The various options available in the dialog allow you to control the display and
visualization of the systems in the modeling window.
Note: For
reviewing 1D Elemental, Ply, and Material systems, the Advanced Result Math template must be
selected in the Load Model panel when initially loading the model and result file. In
addition, a solver input deck is also required as the model file.
