Two-Wheeler MDL Library

The Two-Wheeler Library is installed as a part of the HyperWorks Desktop installation and can be accessed from the MotionView client.

Models can be modified interactively in MotionView to create topologies that are not supported in the default Two-Wheeler Library. The Two-Wheeler Library is open-source, ASCII-based, and can be modified by you.

The following front suspensions are supported in the Two-Wheeler Library:
  • Motorcycle Telescopic - Classic: Rigid and Deformable Strut Rod
  • Motorcycle Telescopic - Inverted: Rigid and Deformable Strut Rod
  • Scooter - Single Side Trailing Link
  • Scooter - Double Side Trailing Link
  • Scooter - Double Side Leading Link
The following Rear suspensions are supported in the Two-Wheeler Library:
  • Motorcycle Trailing Arm Mono Shock
  • Motorcycle Trailing Arm Twin Shock
  • Scooter Trailing Arm Mono Shock
Two-Wheeler Library supports the following engine systems:
  • Linear Torque Powertrain
  • IC Engine and Gearbox
The library also supports a driveline system:
  • Sprocket-Chain Drive

The models and topology included in the Two-Wheeler Library are intended to be the beginning of the simulation process. The model built through the Assembly Wizard have geometry that illustrates the specific suspension topologies, but are examples only. You are responsible for populating the model with the appropriate suspension geometry, spring and shock absorber data, mass and CG location, bushing data, tire data, and other model information that is required to develop an accurate two-wheeler model.
