System Requirements for Running the ultraFluidX Solver

Virtual Wind Tunnel for ultraFluidX runs on the options listed in the Platform Support section. However, to run the ultraFluidX solver, additional requirements need to be met.

Meshing and CFD Solver Run

ultraFluidX requires a 64-bit Linux operating system and is certified for RHEL/CentOS 6.8 (64-bit). Due to common forward compatibility of GCC and GLIBC, ultraFluidX may also run smoothly on other Linux operating systems like RHEL/CentOS 7.x, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 16.04 or SLES 12.

Additionally, ultraFluidX requires at least one NVIDIA GPU device with compute capability 3.0 or higher and NVIDIA drivers supporting CUDA 8.0.

For running large production-level models, the usage of NVIDIA P100 GPUs (or better) and a minimum of 256 GB main memory are strongly recommended.
