Application Environment Variables

Set the environment of an application.

Environment variables are used for setting the environment of an application. For example, the variable MV_CFG_DIR associated with HyperCrash is determining if HyperCrash is triggered for Radioss or LS-DYNA.

These variables are defined on the task level and therefore are local to the task, in which the application is defined. Similar to Operating System environment variables, they are passed on to the shell in which the application is triggered.
