Constrain displacement of faces, edges, vertices, or spots in Modal
analysis.

In the Project Tree, click on a Modal analysis branch
to open the Analysis Workbench.

On the workbench toolbar, click the
(Constraints) icon.

Specify which type of entity will have constraints
applied.

In the modeling window, click to select specific parts on the model.
- Optional:
If applying to Faces, you can select the Add tangent
faces check box.

Specify the coordinate system to which the force/displacement will be
applied.
The default is set to the Global coordinate system, which is automatically
created upon geometry import.

Specify an axes along which constraints will be assigned.

Click OK.
