Create an Animation from the Files Tab

You may visualize the animation results from the Files tab.

The result files are accessible from the Files and Jobs tab.
The job result files that is saved in Job ID folder are stored under the Files tab in the same location where the input files are placed. Hence, the results files are available from both the tabs to visualize.
Note: Space in the file path is not supported to visualize animation files. Rename the folder or file name in the File Tab to visualize animation files.
Note: You can download the animation result to your local system and view it in HyperView Player
  1. On the Files page, open the Job ID folder.
    Tip: You can access the file path as a breadcrumb to select a particular folder. You may edit the file path manually and use the copy or paste option to reach a particular folder.
  2. Right-click the result file and then click Open With > Animation TOC.

    The Table of Contents (TOC) for animation is displayed.

  3. Optional: Deselect Use Result File and click to select other model file from a remote file browser location.
  4. Optional: Click Subcase and select the required load case.
    Note: Choosing the Subcase is optional. By default, the first entry in the Subcase list is considered for an animation.
  5. Optional: Click Simulation to select simulation query.

  6. Select the following in the Simulation Query:
    • Select Filter
    • Select Start, End, and Step values.
    • By default only 100 time steps are available for the view. Click Refresh link, to view the complete list of Time Steps.
    Note: Setting the Simulation Query is optional. By default, all the listed simulations in the Simulation Query is considered for an animation.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Select the required options for the Model and Result Type, the corresponding Component Contour is preselected.
  9. Optional: Click , to specify the compression ratio for the animation file.
  10. Click Animate.
    A message to download the HyperView Player is displayed.

    The animation results can be viewed from the HyperView Player application.
    Tip: The Back link takes you back to the TOC pop-up screen for the animation where you can modify the animation parameters.
  11. Click . The results are downloaded and displayed in the HyperView Player application.
  12. Optional: Click the hyperlink to download the HyperView Player software. The Altair HyperWorks web page is displayed with the HyperView player 2019 software to download.
