Split 1D Elements

Use the Split 1D Elements tool to split a 1D element keeping proper section distribution along the newly generated elements when the original beam property has a tapered section.

1. From the menu bar, click Aerospace > Beams > Split 1D Elems.
2. Select the 1D elements to be split.
3. Enter the Element Start ID for the newly created elements.
4. Select the Split type.
5. Select the Number of elements.
