Change the Value Display

  1. From the View Controls toolbar, click .
  2. From the Tensor panel, click the Values tab (located in the middle of the panel).
  3. If the Tensor format is set to Principal, select the display options for the individual principals.
    1. Activate the Principal values check box to display the values of individual principals (P1, P2, P3) at the tips of the arrows.
    2. Activate the Principal prefix check box to display the prefixes of the individual principals ("P1 =", "P2 =", "P3 =").
Note: These options are only available if the Tensor format is set to Principal.
  4. If the Tensor format is set to Component, select the display options for the individual normal components.
    1. Activate the Normal values check box to display the values of individual normal components (XX, YY, ZZ).
    2. Activate the Normal prefix check box to display the prefixes of the individual normal components ("XX =", "YY =", "ZZ =").
    3. Activate the Shear values check box to display the values of individual shear components (XY, YZ, ZX).
    4. Activate the Shear prefix check box to display the prefixes of the individual shear components ("XY =", "YZ =", "ZX =").
Note: These options are only available if the Tensor format is set to Component.
  5. Click the Font button to display the Font Selector dialog.
This dialog allows you to select the font type, font style, and font size for the tensor plot prefix and value labels.
  6. Click the Color box to select a tensor plot text color from the color palette.
The displayed text for the components varies by the selected Draw mode:
    • Regular - XX, YY, ZZ, XY, etc.
    • Moment - Mx, My, Mz, Mxy, etc.
  7. Select the format of the values displayed in the modeling window from the Format drop-down menu.
  8. Select the precision of the values displayed in the modeling window from the Precision drop-down menu.
