Export to Exchange

Export selected objects to a common folder used to exchange data with other Altair products. For example, you can export a die design from Inspire Studio to Inspire Form to perform a stamping simulation.

Note: The common folder is: C:/User/<username>/Documents/Altair/2021/Exchange/FromStudio.
  1. Select one or more objects.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click, and then select Export to Exchange.
    • On the File menu, select Export to Exchange.
  3. Launch another Altair product.
  4. In the Preferences, verify that the path to the Studio executable has been set. For example, under Category, go to Inspire Form > Die Design.
  5. In the modeling window, right-click, and then select Import Model From Studio.
  6. Select the desired file.
