The Tool Build panel can be accessed by clicking the Tool Build button on the main page of the Incremental_RADIOSS user profile.

 

Subpanels


auto build/setup subpanel

Allows you to automatically setup the tools required for metalforming analysis.

tool offset subpanel

Allows you to create new tool components by offsetting existing shell elements.

auto position subpanel

Allows you to automatically position components until just in contact.  Options include positioning two components with respect to each other and positioning multiple parts.  The multiple parts positioning permits the creation of contact definitions.

In the Incremental_RADIOSS user profile:

1.Click punch source: elems and select the elements that define your punch source.
2.Click binder source: elems and select the elements that define your binder source.
3.Activate the check box for create material for both the punch and binder sources.
4.Click offset and define the punch offset value.
5.Assign a color to the punch and binder components that will be automatically created.
6.Click blank: comps and select the blank component.
7.Toggle moving part: to define whether the punch or die is the moving tool.
8.Define the direction: of the moving tool.
9.Click create.
Note:HyperForm automatically sets up each of the following conditions:.
It creates two new tool components: punch and binder component, as well as the material definition (if toggle is checked).
The components will be automatically positioned in a configuration based on the draw direction.
Three contacts definitions are setup: Binder to blank, Punch to blank, and Die to blank.

 

In the Incremental_Dyna user profile:

1.Click punch source: elems and select the elements that define your punch source.
2.Click binder source: elems and select the elements that define your binder source.
3.Activate the check box for create material for both the punch and binder sources.
4.Click offset and define the punch offset value.
5.Assign a color to the punch and binder components that will be automatically created.
6.If using drawbeads, click db ht and enter the drawbead height.
7.Click blank: comps and select the blank component.
8.Toggle moving part: to define whether the punch or die is the moving tool.
9.Define the direction: of the moving tool.
10.Click create.
Note:HyperForm automatically sets up each of the following conditions:
It creates two new tool components: punch and binder component, as well as the material definition (if toggle is checked).
The components will be automatically positioned in a configuration based on the draw direction.
Three contacts definitions are setup: Binder to blank, Punch to blank, and Die to blank.
The drawbead height is specified, the binder will be translated an additional distance (drawbead height) away from the contacting blank.
