- Working with Models
  Open animation files, measure various distances and angles between entities, and use the Results Browser to view the model structure and find, display, and edit entities.
  - Opening Animation Files
    Animation files are opened using the Load Model panel.
  - Measure
    Use the Measure tool to measure various distances and angles between entities.
  - Results Browser
    The Results Browser allows you to view the HyperView model structure while providing find, display, and editing control of entities.
  - Parameters Browser
    Use the Parameters Browser to parameterize the contents of a session file or report template and automate a variety of analysis processes in Altair HyperWorks Desktop.
  - Entity Selection
    Entities can be selected using input collectors or the quick window selection method.

      Input collectors allow you to select entities in a model to which you can apply various tool functions.
      - Extended Entity Selection Menu
        The extended entity selection menu provides a number of entity selection options.

  Define planes of symmetry/axisymmetry or explode a model.
- Overlay Images/Videos
  Select and overlay images or videos in the modeling window for correlation and presentation purposes.
- Rendering Models
  Select a graphics rendering mode and change the appearance of materials.
- Additional Tools for Post-Processing
  The Tools menu provides you access to various panels and dialogs.
- Profiles
  Load preference file profiles to access the various Aerospace tools, NVH utilities, and Vehicle Safety Tools.
- Preferences Menu
  From the Preferences menu, you can access the Options dialog.

Plot Data
HyperGraph is a data analysis and plotting tool with interfaces to many CAE file formats.
Multibody Modeling
MotionView is a general pre-processor for Multibody Dynamics.

MediaView plays video files, displays static images, tracks objects, and measures distances.
Text Files
TextView math scripts reference vector data from HyperGraph windows to automate data processing and data summary.
Tabulate Results
TableView creates an Excel-like spreadsheet in HyperWorks.
Publishing and Reporting
Create and export Document and Presentation reports with one click and also define your own report structure.

Change the Entity Type

From the panel, click the entity type selection switch to access the pop-up menu of possible entity types.
Select the type that you want to use.
