Import and Check Ground Check Forces

Restriction: Only available in the Aerospace Nastran user profile.
  1. From the menu bar, click Aerospace > Results > Ground Check Forces.
  2. Select a .f06 file where the ground check forces have been included as well as output, for example GROUNDCHECK(SET=(G,N), DATAREC=YES)=YES).
Once the file has been selected, it is parsed and the sets of the output that are required are recognized. You can select these sets, and the relevant results display in the Select Result Cases.
  3. Select one of these results, and then one result type to contour.
A vector visualization is also available for both translational and rotational DOFs.
The example below shows Mode G-Set, direction 6 – translation magnitude after clicking Apply. The Matrix Browser is used to apply the contour.

  4. Right-click on the legend to get a different visualization.

  5. Click Create hwascii to create a HWASCII and use this file in a HyperView session.
Each set will be treated as a load case, direction as simulation (mode) and results nested in the vector root. And, contour as per the same example.

  6. Activate Use failed nodes only if results will be created for failed nodes only, or for all database nodes in the database.
