Viewing the Far Field Results (3D)

View the far field results in the 3D view.

In order to add the results to the 3D view, the 3D view must be active.

  1. Select the 3D view window.

The near field result is currently still displayed in the 3D view. This result should be hidden.

  1. In the result palette, click the “eye” icon next to the NearField1 trace to hide the near field.


    A closed “eye” icon next to a trace indicates that it is hidden.


Add the far field result to the 3D view.

  1. On the Home tab, in the Add results group, click the  Far field icon. From the drop-down list, select FarField1.


Add an annotation to the far field.

  1. Add an annotation to the desired location by pressing Ctrl+Shift+left click.

View the fields in dB.

  1. On the result palette, in the quantity panel, select the dB check box.


Change the size of the far field compared to the geometry.

  1. On the 3D View contextual tabs set, on the Result tab, in the Rendering group, click the  Size icon. From the drop-down list, select Custom.
    1. On the Specify dialog, set the size as 70%.
    2. Click OK to specify the size of the far field and to close the dialog.
