Material and Thickness

Material and thickness values of the ply.

The ply thickness is typically defined as the final cured thickness of a single ply of material. The ply can be made of any material: isotropic, orthotropic, anisotropic, or any other material law.

The thickness applies to all elements in the ply shape. Thickness can additionally be modified spatially, element by element, using a drape table assigned to the ply.

The following image shows a typical ply thickness.
