Data Import/Export context | FX-15297 | In the data Import / Export context, new
options have been implemented for the computation of surface (dFmagS) and
volume (dFlapV) force collections at nodes, in order to improve the accuracy of
NVH simulations. One of these options is proposed by default and is the only
one available in "standard" mode. To have access to all others, the user has to
select the "advanced mode" in Flux supervisor settings. In order to profit of these improvements, the data collections in an existing Flux project must be firstly deleted and then recreated. For more details on these computation strategies, please refer to the user guide delivered with Flux setup. Please note that these developments also solve the tickets FX-16597 and FX-16855. |
Data Import/Export context | FX-19703 | The approach, available in the Import/Export context, for exporting forces computed in Flux projects to OptiStruct called "Global forces [RBE3]" allowing the user to export a global force (e.g. on teeth of an electrical machine) is now fully available in Flux accross all user modes (standard, beta and advanced). Please refer to Flux supervisor options for more details on user modes and on how to select them. |
Data Import/Export context | FX-14862 | In the data import/export context, for the forces data collection dedicated to rotating machines, the computation cylinder radius can now be automatically determinated by Flux or - as in the previous versions - can be setted to a user value. This improvement is available for Flux 2D and Flux Skew. |
Environment | FX-19254 | Before Flux 2021.1, during the opening of Flux
Supervisor or Flux the corresponding splash screen remained in the foreground,
even if the user selected another application (Outlook, Word or any other
application). With Flux 2021.1, this is no longer the case, the splash screen of Flux supervisor or Flux moves to the background if the user selects another application. |
Environment | FX-14359 | Flux is now full and only available in 64 bits mode on Windows and Linux. |
Environment | FX-19255 | For faces and volumes with the color gray, the overlay mesh displayed is also used the opposite color to gray, but always a shade of gray. With this shade of gray, it was difficult to distinguish the mesh on these faces and volumes.
A specific treatment has been made in Flux 2021.1, in order to change the mesh color when the faces and volumes have a gray shade, and thus distinguish correctly the mesh. |
Postprocessing | FX-18336 | Now, in Flux 3D transient magnetic application, it is possible to display the isovalues of dLossV quantity which represent the loss density values over a volume region. |
Solving | FX-19194 | On non-linear projects, the increment computation can need a lot of memory. This was blocking on very large projects and made them impossible to solve. An improvement of this algorithm for projects larger than 10 million nodes has been developed to allow the solving. |
Solving | FX-18329 | A refactoring of the solution increment computation has been done. This impacts projects with non linear materials and results in a reduction of the time spent in the algorithm and can reduce the memory consumption. |
Solving | FX-16063 | When a user was describing a problem with a great number of small regions (in terms of number of elements they contain), the solving time suffered. In this new version, major improvements to speed-up the solving were made for this kind of problem. |
Solving | FX-17100 | For very small problems, a dedicated direct linear solver is used to avoid invoking extra processes for very small matrices where the solving is very straightforward. |
Solving | FX-18547 | On some projects, it has been observed that the parallel integration can slow down when using more and more cores. The strategy has been changed to improve the load balancing between the cores and then reduce the integration time in parallel. |
