Assign

Assign an existing surface as a binder.

1. On the ribbon, click the Die Design tab.
2. Click the Binder icon.
   
   
3. Click the Assign icon.
   
   
4. Choose a selection method and then select the Addendum Start Edges. Selectable edges are green.

   If you select this method	Then do this
   Chain selection (default)	Click an edge and all connected edges are selected automatically.
   Tangent selection	Click an edge and the tangent edge is also selected automatically.
   Single selection	Click one edge at a time.

5. To assign the binder, select a surface.
   To reselect a binder, in the guide bar, select Clear Selection , and then select a different part.

   Note: If the binder intersects a symmetry plane, the binder is trimmed along the symmetry plane.
6. Right-click and mouse through the check mark to exit, or double-right-click.
