Define the Thickness Direction of a Surface

Select a surface, define the thickness and direction, and click Extract to define where the surface is represented.

1. Click on the Geometry tab.
2. Click on the Feasibility tab.
3. Select the Midsurface tool.
   
   
4. Select a surface.
   A transparent preview of a thin solid part with the surface positioned at the midsurface is shown.
5. Type the thickness of the thin solid part in the microdialog and press Enter.
6. Click the icon to preview the thickness direction. Click the icon again to change the direction.
7. Click the preview to confirm the thickness direction and extract the desired face.
