Export HyperView Solver Decks

Export deformed shapes as an Abaqus, DynaKey, OptiStruct/Nastran or STL model.

These files can be read into a pre-processor, such as HyperMesh, or into a CAD tool to view the deformed geometry.
Note: Only unscaled coordinates are exported. If scaled coordinates are needed, use the Linear Superposition utility in HyperView to create a subcase, and then use this utility to export the solver deck (with scaled coordinates). To create a derived loadstep from a simulation list, refer to Derived Load Cases.
  1. From the menu bar, select File > Export > Solver Deck.
    The Export Deformed Shape dialog opens.
  2. For Select format, select a file type.
  3. In the File name field, specify a file name and location.
  4. Click OK.
  5. In the HyperView dialog that opens:
    • Click Yes to continue exporting the solver deck.
    • Click No if scaled coordinates are needed and you need to stop exporting the solver deck.
