Location: From the Menu Bar, select Mesh Editing > Split Elements.

The Split option lets you split plates or solid elements.  You can also split hexa elements using a technique that moves progressively through a row of elements in a model. To learn more about the Split Elements functionality, see Split Panel in the HyperMesh User's Guide.
