A function providing the ability to modify, delete and reassemble the cut model will be included with a future release.

The Submodeling Method

This option is available with RADIOSS 4.2 and later versions.

The purpose of the cut methodology is to create simplified models which will run faster than a full model.

The principle is to create in a full model, a section force defining the study domain. The first step is to run the full model, saving in the section force, the displacement and the forces of each section node.

The second step is to run the simplified model, imposing on the section nodes the displacements found during the first step.
