To create a group

From the top of the Selections sub-window, select the Added or Removed radio button.

Node or element selection

Several options can be used in order to select nodes:

Click selectgeneral-24 and pick nodes in the graphic window.
Click ellipse_icon to add/remove nodes by ellipse selection
Click selectbyboxadd-24 to add nodes by box selection:
oThe default box is rectangular.
oUse the SHIFT key to define a polygon box.
Click selectbyboxremove-24 to remove nodes by box selection:
oThe default box is rectangular.
oUse the SHIFT key to define a polygon box.
Click 10_addallnodes to add all nodes in the graphic window.
Click selectPartGeneral-24 and pick parts in the graphic window.
Click selectPartByBoxAdd-24 to add parts by box selection:
oThe default box is rectangular.
oUse the SHIFT key to define a polygon box.
Click selectPartByBoxRemove-24 to remove parts by box selection:
oThe default box is rectangular.
oUse the SHIFT key to define a polygon box.
Click treeAddEntity-24 to add the parts selected in the tree.
Click treeRemoveEntity-24 to remove the parts selected in the tree.
Enter the node identifier number in the Node by Id window and click Ok.
Create and/or modify a box definition.

Options

Inc. conn. nodes
oSwitch on: automatically include the connections nodes (spotwelds, glue, etc.).
oSwitch off: automatically remove the connections nodes (spotwelds, glue, etc.).
Inc. RB master nodes
oSwitch on: automatically include the master nodes of the rigid bodies which have all slave nodes included in the group.
oSwitch off: automatically remove the master nodes of the rigid bodies which have all slave nodes included in the group.
No selection change
oSwitch on: retain the same include selection as before the group modification.
oSwitch off: update the same include nodes list.

Note: It is recommended to keep these default options.
