Model Description

The model in Figure 1 is an example for elastomer domes underneath keyboard buttons and boot seals. Loading is applied on the green part which is constructed with steel material, while the elastomer dome is of a hyperelastic material. Elastomers are typically modeled as hyperelastic material with their incompressibility and instantaneous elastic response for large strains. Hyperelastic material behavior are well described as strain energy functions.
