explode <label>
Edit explosion properties.
Syntax
explode <label> edit mode|direction|distance|scale|value|x/y/z
explode <label> component
explode <label> move minus|plus|reset
Arguments
- <label>
- The name of the explosion to edit properties for.
-
- edit
-
- mode
-
- modelcenter
- The origin of the explosion is at the center of the model.
- selectioncenter
- The origin of the explosion is at the center of the selected component.
- translate
- Defines the direction and distance (measured by model units) of the model translation.
- direction=< n1n2n3/select/xaxis/yaxis/zaxis/ >
- When in translate mode, define the direction
using one of the following methods:
- <n1n2n3>
- Enter values for N1, N2, and N3.
- select
- Starts the interactive selection widget.
- xaxis/yaxis/zaxis
- Select an axis by which to explode the model.
- distance
- When in translate mode, enter a distance value, measured by model units, to translate the model by.
- scale
- When in modelcenter or
selectioncenter mode, define scale using one of
the following methods:
- component
- Enter the x, y, z coordinates.
- uniform
- Enter the corresponding value (scale factor).
- value
- Enter a value by which to explode the model, for either modelcenter or selectioncenter mode.
- x/y/z
- Enter x, y, or z value.
- component
- select the entire model or individual components to be
included in the explosion.
- select
- Select the component to edit from the displayed list.
- <label>/<range>
- Enter the name of the component or range. For example, ""SHELL: BED" or 1-3,8,13-20,25?,3*.
- move
-
- minus
- Translate or explode the model. The model explosion moves in based on the mode and distance (measured in model units) or the designated scale factor.
- plus
- Translate or explode the model. The model explosion moves out based on the mode and distance (measured in model units) or the designated scale factor.
- reset
- Resets the view and returns to the default settings.
Example
Explode the model:
explode explosion3 move plus
Define distance and direction to translate
explosion3:
explode explosion3 direction=”12 34 45” distance=23
