Add Materials Using Matereality

In this optional task, if you are using Matereality, you will learn how to add materials to the material library.

Matereality, a third-party software product, is a repository of materials. HyperMesh integrates with Matereality and allows for the transfer of materials directly from Matereality into HyperMesh, while ensuring that consistent and accurate material properties are used.

  1. Using Matereality, create and download a .zip file containing the materials you want to add to the library.
  2. In the Model Browser, click the Materials View icon () on the toolbar.
  3. Right-click and select Library > Add > from Matereality from the context menu.
  4. In the dialog, browse to the exported .zip file and select Open. The Matereality archive will import.
After indexing is complete, you are offered the option to preview the materials.
