Cable Shield Layer Combinations

When creating a cable shield, you need to specify for each layer the impedance and admittance. The following combinations are supported when defining the impedance and admittance for a shield layer.

Table 1. Supported shield layer combinations when specifying the impedance and admittance for a shield layer.
Impedance Definition (Zt + Zs) Admittance Definition (Yt)
Solid (Schelkunoff) Not applicable
Braided (Kley) Braided (Kley)

For example, when selecting a Braided (Kley) impedance definition it can be combined with a braided (Kley), transfer capacitance or the frequency-dependent (define properties) admittance definition.
