Curve Editor

The Curve Editor is a utility to create and edit curves that serve as input into the SignalGenerator block.

The Curve Editor lets you manually design a signal by moving the curve of the time signal on a grid or entering X and Y coordinate values.

Designing Signals with the Curve Editor

Launch the Curve Generator from the SignalGenerator block to design or modify a signal.

  1. From the palette Activate SignalGenerators, drag a SignalGenerator block in your model and double-click.
  2. From the SignalGenerator dialog, click the Curve Editor icon:
  3. From the Curve Editor dialog, manipulate the curve of the time signal in two ways:
    • On the plot, select and drag points to a desired location on the grid.
    • Enter X and Y coordinate values.
  4. Apply values and create data points with these options:

    Load data from a .csv file.
    Save data to a .csv file.
    Insert a value before the first data point.
    Insert a value after the selected data point.
    Insert a value after the last data point.
    Delete the selected data points.
