Create an analysis for your project.
For more in-depth information about each type of analysis, go to the following
topics:
-
On the Main Menu toolbar, click the icon for the desired type of
analysis.
-
Follow the process for the chosen analysis.
Analysis Type |
Process |
- Stuctural |
- From the drop-down menu, select Structural
linear, Structural
non-linear, or
Multi-loadcases.
- For Structural Non-linear analysis, specify separating contact,
material non-linear, or geometric non-linear in the popup
window.
|
- Modal |
In the popup window, specify the Number of modes to find. |
- Dynamics |
- In the drop-down menu, select Transient,
Frequency response, or
Random response.
- Specify the modal results to which the analysis is linked. The
modal solution must exist in the current design study. In
SimSolid, the time integration
of the equations of motion is extremely fast and all modes are
always included in the analysis.
- For Frequency and Random Response, specify the frequency span
upper and lower limits. For Transient response, specify Time
span.
- Specify damping using Rayleigh damping coefficients or Modal
damping.
|
- Thermal |
Once you select the icon, the new analysis appears in the Project Tree. No further action is needed. |
- Fatigue |
In the drop-down menu, select SN Time,
SN Sequential, EN Time
or EN Sequential. |
The new analysis appears as a new branch in the Project Tree.
