Copying Report Data to Another Application

You can copy data directly from your reports to other applications using the clipboard.

Steps:

1. Select the data you want to copy by doing one of the following:

   • Select a block: Click on the first character in the block, then drag to highlight the block.

   • Select lines: Click on the line selection area to select a line. To select a range of lines, click down on the line selection area to the left of the first line, then drag up or down to highlight the range.

2. Copy the data to the Clipboard by doing one of the following:

   • Select Copy on the Report View ribbon.

   • Press CTRL+C.

   • Right-click on your mouse to bring up the context menu and the choose Copy or Copy as Table.

   • The Copy command can be used to copy blocks of text featuring specific alignments, while the Copy as Table command can be used to simply copy lines of text.

   Monarch Classic copies the data to the Clipboard as a text image.

3. Paste the data into the target application.

   Open the application, position the cursor at the point where you want to insert the data, and then select Edit > Paste from the application's menu or press CTRL + V.
