Advanced Search

Advanced Search allows you to use several different material properties and combine them to query materials for a specific set of search criteria. You can combine multiple search criterion using the logical operators (=, Like, >, and <).

  1. Click Search on the right pane.
    The Advanced Search section is displayed.
  2. Choose one of the following:
    • Select the material name using the Field drop down list.

    • Enter the name of the material in the search field to filter the list.

    The Value list is auto updated based on the Field you select.
  3. Select the correct operator corresponding the Field and Value.
    The operators are =, Like, > and <.
  4. Specify a value corresponding to the Field.
    Note: The Value filed is case sensitive.
  5. Click to add a new search row.
  6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 to build the search.

    Note: Click to delete the search criterion from the advanced search.
    Note: Click to reset the advanced search.
  7. Click Save As.
    The Save As Search Criteria dialog box is displayed.

  8. Enter a name.
  9. Click Save.
    The advanced search criterion is saved.
  10. Click Search.
    The advanced search result is displayed.
    In the example here, the advanced search is performed using the following criteria:
    • Young's Modulus > 210GPa
    • Poisson's Ratio < 0.34
    • Cr Chemical Composition = 0.07%
