Reference Geometries

Reference Geometries define the reference shape of foam or airbag components.

Reference Geometries are valid in LS-DYNA, PAM-CRASH, and Radioss profiles.

A Reference Geometries entity is created on import of an input deck containing at least one of the supported keywords described in the tables below. Reference Geometries entities are created for each component for which it is referenced.

Reference Geometries entities have a display state of ON or OFF, which controls the display of these entities in the graphics area. The display state of Reference Geometries is controlled using the icon next to the entity in the Model Browser. You can select Reference Geometries by clicking on the graphics.

Reference Geometries also have an active and export state. The active state of a Reference Geometries entity controls its display state, its listing in the Model Browser, and any of its views. The export state of a Reference Geometries entity controls whether the entity is exported when you choose the custom export option. The all export option is not affected by the export state. The active and export states of Reference Geometries entities are controlled using the Entity State Browser.
