Exploding Geometry Parts

Break a geometry part up into separate faces and wires.

Note: The new parts represent a snapshot of the geometry at the time it was exploded. The faces are not parametric.
  1. Select the geometry part that you want to explode.
  2. On the Transform tab, in the Alter group, click the  Explode icon.
The geometry part is exploded into separate parts and listed in the model tree. The icon indicates that it is an exploded face.
