APPENDIX A: Color Selection
The box shows the currently selected color for the material. Left-clicking the box will originate the Choose Material Color dialog, which allows the user to select a color in a variety of color modes:
- Swatches
- This tab shows a grid of predefined colors from which the user can choose.
- HSV
- In this tab the user can pick a color specifying its hue, saturation, and value (HSV) properties. The user can also specify a transparency or alpha value for the color.
- HSL
- Likewise, in this tab the user can pick a color specifying its hue, saturation, and lightness (HSL) values and also a transparency value.
- RGB
- This tab allows the user to pick a color specifying its RGBA (red, green, blue, and alpha) components.
- CMYK
- This tab allows the user to pick a color specifying its CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) components, and also an alpha component.
