Start using Inspire Studio with our interactive tutorials.
Create and edit a 2D sketch curve. A sketch curve is any "wire" entity such as a line, rectangle, circle, or arc.
Create and edit 3D curves by extending, rebuilding, intersecting, splitting, and projecting the shapes.
Create and edit 3D surfaces and solids by creating primitives or editing existing curves and surfaces.
Create polygonal surfaces that can easily be converted into NURBS surfaces. PolyNURBS combines the ease and simplicity of polygonal modeling with the precision and flexibility of NURBS, allowing you to quickly create free-form solid geometry that is smooth and continuous.
Create new objects by manipulating and modifying source objects.
Quickly modify objects that are not a part of Construction History.
Deform one or more objects with respect to an axis.
Measure dimensions, analyze curvature, check for continuity and watertightness, analyze the draft, detect undercuts, and create design iterations on the fly.
Dimension a line, edge, bounding box, angle, and radius/diameter in order to create objects which must fit predefined dimensions. You can also insert a general annotation to label the parts of your model.
Create detailed 2D drawings of the selected parts of a complex 3D model from multiple perspectives.
Adjust the materials, environment, and properties of objects in the scene to create a photorealistic image.
An overview of the typical rendering process.
The Interactive rendering modes are display modes that render your scene in real time, so you can interactively apply materials, modify the environment, and change the camera position.
Create, modify, apply, save, and organize materials.
The material library contains preset materials, as well as any custom materials you've saved. Understand the material library's structure so you can more easily find materials.
Import Thea materials into the Inspire Studio material library.
You can choose from a variety of preset materials. If you can't find exactly what you want, you can choose something similar and modify it. You can also reuse a custom material that you have previously saved.
You can create a simple or full material.
Save a custom material to the library so you can reuse it later.
Organize the User material library, which contains custom materials you saved, by creating your own material packages and categories.
After applying a material with a texture to one or more objects, you can scale and position the texture.
A label is a special type of texture that allows you to layer an image over an existing material. It is useful for applying logos or bar codes to objects in your scene.
Modify the background, lighting, and shadows.
Modify an object's rendering properties such as visibility, shadows, caustics, mask index, and beveling.
Create copies of objects with a parent-child relationship. When you modify the source objects, all of the instances are updated automatically in the construction history. This is a scene creation tool that is used mainly for rendering.
Add functional objects, including furniture and interior sets, to your interactive rendering to make the scene appear photorealistic.
Produce a high-quality image of your scene.
In Inspire Studio you can animate an object or group and the camera. There are two methods of animation: key frame animation and path animation.
Create a draw die in Inspire Studio that you can export to Inspire Form to perform a stamping simulation.
You can use C++ and Python to add custom operations and file formats.
Learn keyboard shortcuts and mouse controls for common operations.
Adjust the materials, environment, and properties of objects in the scene to create a photorealistic image.
