Create polygonal surfaces that can easily be converted into NURBS surfaces. PolyNURBS combines the ease and simplicity
of polygonal modeling with the precision and flexibility of NURBS, allowing you to quickly create free-form solid
geometry that is smooth and continuous.
Measure dimensions, analyze curvature, check for continuity and watertightness, analyze the draft, detect undercuts,
and create design iterations on the fly.
Create design iterations on the fly using a design table, where you can quickly modify and set thresholds for the
various parameters of a model, including sketch dimensions, without having to dig through construction history. You
can create multiple snapshot tables, setting different values for variables in each table. Then you can export
the file (model with design table) to HyperStudy to test and explore design alternatives.
Dimension a line, edge, bounding box, angle, and radius/diameter in order to create objects which must fit predefined
dimensions. You can also insert a general annotation to label the parts of your model.

Note: This is an analysis tool; results are displayed only while the tool is open.
To draw a dimension as a visual reference, use the Linear Dimension tool.
On the ribbon, click the Analysis tab.
Click the Distance icon.
Define the points:
Click to define the first point.
Click to define the second point.
Tip: To reposition a point, drag it.
The following information is displayed:
Distance: The distance between the points in 3D
space.
Dx: The distance between the points along the
global x-axis.
Dy: The distance between the points along the
global y-axis.
Dz: The distance between the points along the
global z-axis.
