Merging or Importing Workbooks Using the Toolbar

Existing workbooks can be imported into another open workbook, merging their dashboards together.

For example, the How to Actions workbook has five dashboards, while How to Layout has three dashboards. Follow the steps below to import the five dashboards and the associated data tables of How to Actions to How to Layout.

Steps:

1.     Check the boxes of multiple workbooks either:

·         on the Grid View, or

·         on the List View

The Merge  icon on the toolbar is enabled.

2.     Click . The Select to Merge Target dialog displays.

3.     Select the target workbook (i.e., How to Layout) where the dashboards will be imported.

4.     Click .

Both workbooks are now available on the Quick Access pane.

The dashboards and data tables from How to Drill are now added to the How to Actions workbook.
