Adding a Search

To add a search to the list

  1. On the Navigation Tree, click Content System, then click Document Retrieval and select Searches.

  2. Click clip0002 on the Searches page.

  3. Search Type: Select either Document Search or Report Search.

  4. Search Name: Enter a unique name of a new search.

  5. Search Group: Select a search group, to which the current search will be assigned.

  6. Document Groups: Select a document group, where the search is to be made.

  7. Available Document Types: This pane displays available document types, which depends on the selected document group. To add a document type, drag it from the left pane to the right pane.

  8. Assigned Document Types: This pane displays the assigned document types.

  9. Document Date: Using the calendar, define the time interval to be covered by the current search.

  10. Annotation Criteria: Define whether the search should include annotated reports, non-annotated reports or all reports.

  11. Search Criteria: To specify additional search criteria, including several conditions that involve multiple keyword types and keyword values, click the Add condition button.

  12. Select a Boolean operator (AND or OR). While the AND operator can be used to link search criteria of different keyword types, the OR operator can only be used to link search criteria of the same keyword type.

  13. Select a keyword type. The list contains keyword types that are used in the selected document types.

  14. Select a relational operator (equal to (=), not equal to (<>), less than (<), greater than (>), less than or equal to (<=), greater than or equal to (>=).

  15. Enter a keyword value. To look up available keyword values, click the Lookup button.

  16. To add another condition, click the Add condition button and repeat steps 2-5. To remove a condition, click the Remove button.

  17. To save a new or existing search, click the Save button.
    The system saves the new search to the database and displays the updated Searches page, if the operation is completed successfully.

  18. To reset the values, click the Clear button.

  19. To close the Search page without saving, click Cancel. Keep in mind that no changes will be saved.
