Monarch 32-bit vs. 64-bit

Monarch is available as a 32-bit or 64-bit application. By default, the bitness of the application is matched with the bitness of Microsoft Office, specifically the Access Database Engine (ADE) component, if this suite is available prior to the installation of Monarch. You can select which bitness to apply during Monarch installation. However, note that mismatches between the bitness of the application and the bitness of the ADE component may cause Monarch to be unable to read and write Microsoft Access data sources.

If the ADE component is not installed prior to installing the application, Monarch will install ADE according to the Monarch bitness selected.
