The Contacts panel allows you to create both single and multiple contact definitions.  The single subpanel allows you to manually create, edit, or remove contacts.  The multiple subpanel panel allows you to create or remove multiple contact definitions.

Notes:
•For RADIOSS, interface TYPE 7 or TYPE21 is created.
•For LS-DYNA a *CONTACT_FORMING_ONE_WAY_SURFACE_TO_SURFACE is defined by default.

 

How do I...

expand-green-10Create a single contacts definition
1.Enter a name for the contact.
2.For master:, select comps and select the tool component.
3.For slave:, select comps and select the blank component.
4.Click friction = and enter friction coefficient.

1.For master:, select comps and select multiple tool components.
2.For slave:, select comps and select the blank component.
3.Click friction= and enter friction coefficient.
4.Click create.
