Static Event

Define a Static (Linear Static) loadcase.

Using the Static Event tool, you can setup a linear static loadcase to solve and understand Squeak and Rattle issues.
  1. From Setup group, select Static Event from selection list.
    Figure 1.
    A guide bar will appear.
  2. Select node(s) where the load should be applied to in the graphics area.
  3. Use the Load Type drop down menu on the microdialog to select the required load type.
    Available load types are-
    • D- Displacement
    • A- Acceleration
    • F- Force
    • P- Pressure
  4. Select Load Direction(s).
  5. Enter the load amplitude.
  6. Click .
This creates a Static event loadcase at the selected node and all the relevant cards are created and listed in the model browser automatically.

Entity Type
Displacement, Acceleration and Force can be applied on node(s).
Pressure can be applied on element(s).
Amplitude
Amplitude of the selected load type.
Load Direction(s)
X
Y
Z
Note: When more than one load direction is created at the same time, SnRD will automatically create one Loadcase for each direction and one with all directions combined. Example: Applying a load on one node in three directions at the same time will create 4 loadcases.
